A background investigation is one that, if successful, allows you to have better understanding as to the credibility and the credentials of either a person or business. The purpose for this type of investigation has to be for legal reasons and must be based upon a need for that information to allow you to make a decision and have a better understanding of the subject of your inquiry. The term background is used in the broadest sense and can include an investigation into your spouse, business partner or employee where suspicious activities and concerns have caused you to question their integrity and trust. The degree into which we can utilize the resources and tools of the trade at our disposal will be predicated on whether we are dealing with a situation where you have been legally compromised and the matter is most likely heading to court and therefore, the investigation would be for litigation purposes.


Many investigation agencies have unique ways in which they conduct themselves when completing a background investigation. At Yorkey Investigations we attempt to look at what information you have and from there develop it further using legal means for our research. This may entail surveillance. The investigation is completed with a great deal of caution and respect for the person or business we are researching. We take every precaution not to be discovered or to make contact with the subject of our inquiry. We make every effort not to reveal your identity unless required to by law or where your safety maybe compromised. However, there are many steps we take in our inquiry both with respect to records research and where possible, meeting with and interviewing witnesses, where applicable a scene investigation documented with photographic evidence and measurments taken, and searching possible leads into the identity of the subject of the investigation. 

 

Background investigations can be conducted for a variety of reasons that pertain to the character, credibility, integrity, financial stability, organizational relationships and primarily to your exposure in having a relationship with that person or organization.  We provide background investigations for a number of reasons including but not limited to, family matters, domestic spousal issues, child support, business relationships, criminal matters or issues to do with civil litigation.  We can provide you with a Commercial Business Report through  our  membership with a credit bureau. Whatever type of background investigation you require we will endevour to provide you with a report of our investigation findings to include evidence collected and a description of our activities during the investigation.
